how do you use a cappucino maker?

by admin on May 7, 2010

You've found the best place to buy a breville cafe roma espresso maker. Feel free to bookmark us and try to visit us daily!

Suddenly I found what may be a cappuccino machine, espresso machine, or both, and has no documentation. I have the luck to get something out of the box and in the microwave properly, so I'm confused.

Don’t use this unless there is a glass carafe or something to catch the esspresso with underneith (lot’s of times, people throw their machine away because the carafe broke).
There should be a lid that screw off somewhere near the top of the machine and a little skinny spout looking arm that comes from the side or somewhere else.
There should also be a place to add esspresso or coffee grounds, it will have a thicker arm that you push or pull one way or the other to dislodge it from the machine.
There should be a cup like area that you put your grounds into and pack down gently (it may need cleaning.)
You should unscrew the lid on the top and take a whiff to see if the previous owner cleaned it out last. If it smells clean, then add about a cup of water and look for the on switch it could be a knob or a light switch type either way. If it’s a knob turn it to the puffy cloud illustration and wait for steam to shoot from the skinny nozzle (this means it’s hot and ready).
Now turn the knob to the cup icon. This forces steam through the coffee grounds. Allow a shot or two of esspresso to pour out into the glass carafe. Then fill a mug half full of milk and stick the skinny nozzle down inside the mug. Turn the knob to the cloud icon and foam the milk. After it’s frothy enough, turn it off, add sugar (or syrup) and pour your esspresso in. Voila!
Now, don’t leave water trapped inside your machine. Either let it steam itself dry, or wait till it cools and unscrew the top and pour it out. Otherwise, it will mildew.
